What I did

In the Veterans Affairs team, I held multiple roles such as Researcher, Data Analyst, Documentation Specialist, Product Designer, Visual Designer, User Experience Designer, and User Interaction Designer. The United States of America has been undergoing a digital transformation to improve the experience of accessing services for all Americans. With executive orders from the presidency, I contributed to the enhancement of the Veteran’s Affairs Customer Experience (CX) Design.

To address the challenges in this space, I employed an Accessibility and Human-Centered Design approach. This involved analyzing the existing product to ensure compliance with 508 accessibility standards for users with disabilities such as visual impairment and hearing loss. I conducted over 20 interviews to assess the accessibility and success of the product.

As a result, I played a significant role in the modernization efforts of Veterans Affairs, incorporating disability inclusion into their products.
